Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Diald Club ("the app", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Diald Club iOS app and website. By using Diald Club you agree to the practices described below.
Information we collect
- Account information. To create and manage your account, we store your email address and, optionally, profile details such as your display name. You may sign in with email, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In. If you choose Apple or Google, that provider processes the sign-in request and sends us authentication data that may include a provider account identifier, email address, and profile details you authorize it to share.
- Your content. The beans, recipes, brew sessions, ratings, tasting notes, reminders, and related settings you add to the app are stored so they can sync across your devices.
- Device tokens. If you enable push notifications we store an Apple Push Notification service token so we can send you alerts such as brew reminders.
- Subscription information. We verify Apple's signed transaction information and store subscription status, expiration, and a lifetime extraction count associated with your Diald account. Deleting an individual extraction does not reduce that lifetime count.
How we use your information
- To provide the app's core features: tracking beans and brews, saving notes, syncing across devices, generating stats, and reminding you to brew.
- To send notifications you have opted into, such as brew reminders.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the service.
On-device analysis
Analysis is optional and runs entirely on your device. Diald computes brew patterns locally and, where supported and available, may use Apple's on-device intelligence to present those findings. The brew data selected by your filters is not sent to Diald Club or a third-party AI provider for analysis.
How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers. We use service providers to host and operate the app; Apple and Google for sign-in when selected; and Apple for purchases and notifications.
- When required by law. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or valid legal process.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete beans, brews, notes, reminders, and other content from within the app at any time. The lifetime extraction count remains until you delete your account. When you delete your account, your associated personal data is removed from our systems.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and database access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To delete your account or make a request, contact us using the details below.
Children's privacy
Diald Club is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
